Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has opened up about a terrifying experience he encountered during his six-year stay in South Africa.
According to the respected clergyman, he was confronted by armed robbers on two separate occasions, with the second attack becoming so dangerous that he feared for his life.
“I almost died in South Africa,” Apostle Nyamekye recounted, explaining that the experiences gave him first-hand knowledge of the security challenges faced by Ghanaians and other foreign nationals in the country.
He further disclosed that his luggage was stolen while he was leaving South Africa.
His revelations came during a meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, amid renewed concerns over the safety of foreign nationals in South Africa.
