NPP communicator Benjamin Gyewu-Appiah has reflected on his controversial pre-election claim that he would set himself on fire if John Mahama won the 2024 election.
He has since apologised, admitting the remark was made in the heat of political campaigning.
Mahama won with 56.55%, defeating NPP’s Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who secured 41.61%.
“God humbled me,” Gyewu-Appiah reportedly said while reflecting on the outcome.
