A worker at a poultry farm in Dormaa Ahenkro has been arrested for allegedly stealing several crates of eggs, with three other suspects also in police custody as investigations continue.
According to the farm owner, Nana Agyeman, he received a tip-off about three weeks ago that the worker was allegedly involved in stealing eggs from the farm. The information prompted him to closely monitor activities at the facility while working with the Ghana Police Service to gather evidence.
Nana Agyeman said the suspect allegedly admitted to stealing crates of eggs from the farm during police interrogation. He added that the operation led to the arrest of four individuals believed to be connected to the suspected theft.
The suspects remain in police custody while investigations continue. Nana Agyeman has also urged employees across the country to avoid stealing from their employers, warning that such actions could lead to arrest and prosecution.
Editor’s Note: The allegations are based on statements attributed to the farm owner. Police investigations are ongoing, and no court has determined the guilt or innocence of the suspects. No official Ghana Police statement on the case was immediately available at the time of writing.
