Ghanaian musician and socialite Showboy (real name Kwabena Sarfo) has reappeared before the Adenta Circuit Court in an ongoing legal battle involving allegations of defamation, harassment, blackmail, and cyberbullying.
The case was initiated by entrepreneur and music executive David Mensah, popularly known as Davido GH, who petitioned authorities over what he describes as three years of targeted online abuse directed at him, his partner, family, and record label.
Showboy had earlier been remanded at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison for one week following his arrest on charges including resisting police. In today’s court appearance, proceedings focused on ongoing investigations into alleged publication of false news and extortion.
No immediate ruling was delivered, as the court continues to facilitate further investigations. The case has attracted significant attention online, sparking broader conversations about cyberbullying, defamation, and accountability within Ghana’s entertainment space.
Davido GH is seeking legal intervention to halt the alleged attacks, which reportedly include defamatory claims and the circulation of private images.
