Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah Explains Why The President Said “Sika Mp3 Dede”

Minister of Information, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah explained the meaning of the term “Sika Mp3 Dede” which was used by the president during the recent state of the economy address.

The President of Ghana, H.E Nana Akuffo Addo, during his recent state of the Economy address, used the term ” Sika Mp3 Dede “This term has sparked a lot of controversies and conversations in the country and on social media as people interpret it their own way.

This has called for the need to bring more clarification of the term used by the president.Information Minister, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah was a guest at Peace FM’s morning show, Kokrokoo, to give us that clarification.

In his explanation, he said the president used that term in reference to false speculations about the real exchange rate of the Ghanaian cedi, which creates fear and panic in the system.

Some people are known for sharing false info through social media and convincing people to withdraw their money from the bank to buy more dollars to make some profit from it.

The context of what the president said was that people and the media should desist from internationally publishing false news which causes fear and panic in the economy, because the law will deal with you if you’re found guilty.
