Ghana’s Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, and the Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Technology, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, have survived a road accident on the Bolgatanga–Tumu highway.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Thursday while the ministers, accompanied by their convoy, were traveling to the Upper West Region for official engagements marking the 40th anniversary celebrations of Tumu College of Education and Jahan College of Education.
Sources indicate that one of the vehicles in the convoy was involved in the accident, leading to injuries among some occupants. Emergency responders and security personnel swiftly arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance.
Both ministers were later assessed by medical professionals and are said to be in stable condition. No fatalities have been reported. However, details regarding the injuries sustained by other convoy members remain limited.
