Media personality Delay is facing intense backlash on social media following an interview with TikToker Ama Yeboah, conducted in the presence of Ama’s mother, popularly known as Obolo.

During the conversation, Delay drew comparisons between Ama and her mother’s early motherhood, then proceeded to ask deeply personal questions about Ama’s private life, including whether she was a virgin and when she first became sexually active.

A visibly uncomfortable Ama answered briefly but declined to disclose further details when pressed about the identity of people she had dated or been intimate with. Despite her refusal, viewers say the line of questioning crossed professional boundaries and placed undue pressure on a young guest in front of her parent and a national audience.

While Ama’s mother stated she was aware of her daughter’s private life and supported open communication between them, many viewers argue that the questions were unnecessary and amounted to public shaming rather than meaningful conversation.

The interview has since sparked wider discussions online about media ethics, consent, power dynamics in interviews, and the responsibility of veteran broadcasters when engaging young guests.
