Ghanaian DJ and music executive DJ Mensah has called on the government to officially include the upcoming Rapperholic UK concert at The O2 Arena in activities marking Ghana at 70 celebrations.
In a social media post reflecting on the energy from the previous Rapperholic show at Royal Albert Hall, he described the atmosphere as powerful, noting that the diaspora crowd in London brought a different level of excitement and pride for Ghanaian music.
According to him, the upcoming show which will feature Sarkodie and other artists could attract 20,000 fans at The O2 and reach millions of viewers worldwide, making it a major global moment for Ghanaian culture.
DJ Mensah also suggested creating a “Rapperholic UK travel portal” where fans could book tickets, hotels, and travel packages, turning the concert into a cultural tourism event for Ghanaians in the diaspora and beyond.
He urged corporate bodies, stakeholders, and government institutions to financially support the vision and make it part of the official Ghana @70 calendar, describing it as an opportunity to showcase Ghanaian music, culture, and national pride on one of the world’s biggest stages.
